I Love Color

It was a warm sunny beautiful day yesterday and I spent the whole day in my basement re-arranging things, again. I need to clear some room so I can actually sit down and get some projects done. Once I get started on something, forget it. Yesterday it was my ink pads. I took them all out of the Stampin' Up! revolving holder I had in put and put them up on the wall in a cassette holder. I am trying to get as much off of my floors and counters as possible

Now this empty so I am selling it on E-Bay if anyone is interested. My seller name is SharonTup

These are my Stampin Up stamps now along with some Amuse Studio Stamps. I like being able to see all the same line together.

These are Close To My Heart ink pads.

I have already posted this photo but these are some of my bottles of Stickles.

And these are my collection of copic markers.

I just felt like posting some color today.

Trying to Find Happiness

This may sound lame, but have you ever been in a rut and then woke up one morning and said to yourself, "Enough is Enough!" I feel that way today. The sun is shining and I am sitting in my basement trying to clean and feeling depressed all the while. I should be outside enjoying this beautiful day, but who will clean this mess?
So I am making my only little bit of happiness. I will blast my radio with some summer tunes and dance around my room as I get things accomplished!
Have a Summery Day everyone!

L.O.A.D.

I just finished up doing a LayOut A Day (LOAD). It was a month long challenge put on by www.Layoutaday.com.
I actually completed 32 pages in the month of February. I felt very accomplished by completing the challenge. I tried this back about a year ago and only 5 days into the challenge I found out I needed sinus surgery again (for the 4th time) and got rather depressed about it and could not get my head back into the challenge. So, I feel great that I was able to get through it this time.

Now that the month is over I am back to re-organizing my scraproom. What a mess! I keep getting sidetracked every time I find something I have not seen in a while. I lost 2 whole days when I came across 5 envelopes of photos from a disney trip from 2008. I thought I had scrapped most of that trip but after finding so many photos still in their envelopes I came to a crashing halt in cleaning and had to organize these photos, try to put them in order and then store them into photo pages so I could easily see the photos when I get to finished this trip.

then I have spent another 2 days trying to find and sort all my stickers, rub-ons, embellishments and started sorting by theme. Once I did that, then I took everything out of its packaging and I am sorting these into page protectors. I have two (2) Crop In Style PSB (Paper and Sticker Binder). I got these years ago and never really used them. I have decided that I do not like my Clip It Up storage units anymore. The photo below shows a 3 level one on the floor that I had tons of Jolee stickers on. Up on the counter is another one that I am going to keep using. The one up on the counter I use to store my favorite Close To My Heart acrylix stamp sets. I emptied the one on the floor along with another one that does not show in this photo and about 75% of the items are now stored in binders so dust cannot get to them anymore. I would have gotten to them all but both my binders are full. I have to come up with another idea for finishing up these embellishments, I still have the categories of Family, Fall, Winter, and my biggest section will be Disney.

After sorting tons of stickers, I started cleaning again, when I thought about a better way to store some of my stamps. I really don't know if it will be better, but I decided to put all my expression stamps together. I am forever looking through all my stamps to find different versions of maybe "Happy Birthday" or "Thank You" so I pulled all the sayings out of the sets and I am trying to re-organize so all the sayings are together. As I type this I am already re-thinking this. Maybe it will not work but I spent about 2 hours last night looking at all my sets and pulling some saying together. But, then how do I organize when I have some wooden sets and acrylic sets? I will have to think this through some more.

Time to stop typing and getting back to cleaning.

Purging

I am sick of looking at the clutter spead all over my scraproom.

Time to re-vamp!!!

This usually means time to E-Bay, again, too! Every time I do a major clean up I end up doing a major clean OUT, too. What have I not used in at least the past year....
Time to unload it.

So, if you are looking for some bargains go onto E-Bay and do a search for SharonTup. Lots of scrapping, cardmaking, and general craft supplies are up for auction with really low starting prices. Go check them out. I will be posting more items as I get further along in my cleaning efforts.

Look at this mess!

I wan to get it back to looking like this...

While I am trying to clean, I am also in a scrapping challenge to do A LayOut A Day or LOAD. I did great for a few days, but have now fallen behind schedule, so I need to catch back up with that and get cleaning at the same time. Wish me luck!

Smash Book

It snowed for the first half of the day today, so it was a good day to get some scrapping done. I worked on my smash Book. I had some things glued down but the pages still looked unfinished so I went back and added journaling where it was needed and added more pages today. I completed 13 pages in the book and have 20 pages with embellishments on them. Some more need to get finished but I don't want to rush this project. I am hoping to add to it thoughout the year.

This is my Extreme Couponing page. I gave couponing a go, and was able to save $ 306.06 in three shopping trips. I wish I could save this much every week but to do this is VERY time-consuming with all the research needed to find the best deals. I average between $10 - $40 a week with coupons now.

Cost of Living Page. This is just showing how much things cost now. The right side is a page about my last birthday at a Red Sox game.

a day trip I took with my kids to NYC. We got airfare for only $9 each way. It was a great day even though I was still recovering.

This is a mish-mash of different events from the surgeries I had to scrapping companies I was repping for.

These are my Goals for 2012. the close up of my title and then what I have written so far

two pages of last Saturday's Patriots game against the Denver Broncos.

These two pages are mini postcards of a lot of places I have been to.

More Organizing

I decided to re-organize my Cricut Cartridges. I had them stored in Snapware ribbon holders, but I had so many cartridged that it took three (3) of these holders to store them all. I did like the concept of using the cross-stitch mesh so I made a bigger one to fit into a 12 x 12 tray from Target. Much like the one I made for my Stickles. and the nice thing about this one is there is still room for expansion. I still have 18 empty slots. When full this tray will hold 119.

Then for the books and overlays I was using two of these drawers that my daughter no longer wanted. The books fit in perfectly, but I needed one more drawer to fit them all. I drove to the Container store and was going to get another whole unit, but found just the inner part of a drawer set on clearance for only $3, so I bought that. It sits on top of the others just fine. These drawers still have a little room for exspansion. Right now I have an empty Cricut box in the back of each drawer to, not only keep the books upright, but to block the back because it is hard to reach the back of the drawers when they are in their containers. But should I get more books, I can take the boxes out and have room to add more books.

The other thing I did this week was to check all my paint dabbers. These tend to dry up from lack of use. After watching a Tim Holtz video, he said to simply add a few drops of water to the bottle to bring the paints back to life. So I did. It took about 4 hours to get through all the bottle but they are all working again and I have moved them so they are closer to my work space in hope I start using them more before they get a change to dry up again.

These ones on the shelf are the colors I may not use too often.

The more popular colors that I do think I will use more often, I put into this Tim Holtz storage tin. These are more of my favorite colors so i plan to place this tin right on my work desk in hopes that by seeing every day I will start to use these more often.

And these are the few bottle of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I have not used this very often so I only have a few colors.

Color

I love color. The brighter the better! I was looking around my scraproom and I love seeing all the bright colors around the room.
